Transhipment of cargo – transhipment or transfer of cargo from one type of transport to another or from one vehicle to another. It is carried out during the transportation of goods in a mixed railway-water communication at special port railway stations, where the following happens:

• loading into railway carriages from ships and warehouses, or to ships and warehouses;
• unloading from ships and railways carriages to warehouses;
• re-weighing, accumulation of small shipments, as well as paperwork for the transfer of goods (transfer lists).

The direct transfer of cargo is carried out directly from one type of rolling stock to another, up to and including a change in the type of transport (for example, from railway tanks to a sea tanker). The loading speed is at least 2,000 tons / day, the average size of the ship party in the port of Temryuk is 2,500 tons and, depending on the ship design, it can reach 6,500 tons with a permitted draft of 4.7 meters. The direct transshipment of cargo without intermediate storage – is a service provided by the company “CargoChem” in the port of Temryuk - requires consistency in the work of different types of transport.

One of the most promising services and, at the same time, unique for Russia - is transshipment of bulk petrochemistry. Schemes of transportation and transshipment of goods in the ports are developed and selected for each client individually.

Since August 2004, our company has been carrying out transshipment of bulk petrochemical cargoes in the amount of at least 20,000 tons monthly under the “railway tank-tanker” scheme in the port of Temryuk.

The company «CargoChem» has all the necessary licenses (Rostransnadzor, Rostekhnadzor, Rosprirodnadzor, etc.) and approvals of state regulatory authorities for the transshipment of bulk cargo, including chemical as well as technological equipment certified by Rostekhnadzor for loading and unloading operations for cargo handling. All employees are trained in all necessary professional skills and certified.

Grain cargo handling is one of the new services provided by CargoChem in the port of Temryuk. The transhipment is carried out by the direct option at the grain terminal at OJSC “MTPT” on berth N19, where there is a weight acceptance of grain from vehicles.

The capacity of grain transshipment equipment is 350 tons per hour, the berth complex allows to receive vessels with a draft of up to 5 meters.

The following types of cereals are accepted for transshipment: grain, barley, corn, rye, peas, rice, as well as grain processing products: sunflower, rapeseed meal, beetroot granulated beet pulp, wheat granulated bran.
